And I am the owner of Brown’s Autobahn on the Sunshine Coast.
I have always loved cars and from the time I was in High School back in the early 80’s, I worked part time with a local mechanic before doing my apprenticeship. I know, that’s quite a lot of years!
And I suppose that is all you really need to know about me, as far as experience in the industry goes.
I bought Brown’s Autobahn back in 1986 and since then I have learned how important it is to look after my customers as much as their cars.
I know how important it is to listen to customer worries or concerns, after all, they are driving their car every day.
How many times have you taken your car for a routine service, only to be presented with a bill that made you feel sick to the stomach?
Look, it happens that sometimes during a service we find a more serious problem that needs to be addressed.
But when that happens, we never assume you are ready to have the work done on the same day.
We always contact our customers to let them know what needs to be done, and the degree of urgency. That way, we can finish the job on the spot, or the customer can choose when they would like to bring the car back to have the work done.
And for new car owners, I realise it is incredibly important that their manufacturer’s warranty is not void because the car has not been serviced properly or the value of the vehicle is not downgraded because non-genuine parts have been used.
For most people, buying a car is a purchase second only to their home and for most of us, not having our car is a bit like cutting off our legs.
I am fortunate to have a very stable and skilled team of mechanics who also understand this, and each and every one of them is equally dedicated to both customer service and car service.
Another thing I have picked up over the years is that while people like to drive clean cars, they don’t much like to wash them. So we take care of that too.
